    The Context of Social Dialogue in the Philippines
    A. Central Theme
    The central theme of my presentation is the role of social dialogue as a synergistic approach towards the promotion of employment and industrial harmony.
    Translating this theme into meaningful and operational terms requires a specific context and the one I know best and where practice and application of the theme have been fairly successful, is in my own country, the Philippines .

    B. Tripartism: Entrenched Approach to Social Dialogue
    In the Philippines , tripartite consultation and cooperation by and between government, workers' and employers' organizations on issues of mutual interest have evolved as an entrenched approach to social dialogue.
